The water treatment unit uses solar power. Because of the Eco-Solar Water Station’s low energy requirements, the unit is grid independent and works on 100 per cent solar energy. The energy generated from the solar panels provides enough electricity to run the unit during the day whilst simultaneously charging battery pack to run the unit when the sun is not around.

Up to 7,000 litres of water can be treated each day. The raw water is first pumped through a multi-stage filtration system to remove dirt and other impurities and then a UVC treatment to destroy illness-causing microorganisms, bacteria and viruses.
